Fest en Fest 2020

The autumn 2018 H2DANCE has been exploring possible links between Nordic festivals and Fest en Fest. With support from BIT Teatergarasjen Bergen Norway we visited their festival Oktoberdans. In November we traveled to Everybody’s Spectacular in Reykjavik Iceland with support from Reykjavik Dance Festival.
We have now secured funding from the Nordic Culture Fund to further develop our connections with venues and festivals in The Nordic Countries and will take up residencies at Vitlycke Sweden, Reykjavik Dance Festival Iceland and Multiplié dansefestival Trondheim Norway in 2019.

We have also received funding from Vision Mixers (a Cambridge Junction producer development initiative for 2018-22) towards a satelite event in Cambridge in February 2020.

The next edition of Fest en Fest will take place February 2020 in Deptford London and the East of England.

Fest en Fest 2018: Call out for female participants over 55

We are looking for 10 women over 55 years of age to participate in the project A SLOW ESCAPE by Norwegian artist Karen Røise Kielland with a performance at Laban Laurie Grove on the 23rd of June.

A SLOW ESCAPE is an onstage flight, both hypertheatrical and documentary, springing from two walks – Catharine H. Kølle’s journey in 1841 from Norway to Venice and Karen Røise Kielland’s tracking of her in 2011. The work reveals different strategies in the face of unknown time and space. It questions the ability to fantasize, as friend and sometimes foe, as live-drawings and sound makes the space travel.

We are interested in working with women over 55 who enjoy walking. There is no application process, but if you’re interested please contact heidi@h2dance.com for more information.
