PHANTASMAGORIC invites you to a flow of images, ideas, emotions and sensations that can force their way into your body – voluntarily or involuntarily. Space, objects, music and movement intermingle in a diverse universe. Reflections and illusions, memories, obstructions and desires unravel. The piece shifts constantly between intense comfort and discomfort, creating a space where you can surrender. A space for transformation and unrestrained dedication. You are drawn into spontaneous as well as fabricated streams of thought. Outbursts form a series of different moods and conditions which disappear as quickly as they arise.
_ fantazməˈgɔːrɪə, -ˈgɒrɪk _

2. having the appearance of an optical illusion, especially one produced by a magic lantern.
3. changing or shifting, as a scene made up of many elements.
phantasmagorica||ˌfantazməˈgɔːrɪə, -ˈgɒrɪə| noun
a sequence of real or imaginary images like that seen in a dream: what happened next was a phantasmagoria of horror and mystery.
ORIGIN early 19th cent. (originally the name of a London exhibition (1802) of optical illusions produced chiefly by magic lantern): probably from French fantasmagorie, from fantasme ‘phantasm’ + a fanciful suffix.
Like the scientists and magicians of the 19th century phantasmagoria shows, the piece aims to get the audience into a state which invites to surreal and sensory experiences. By levelling the pompous and the fragile, PHANTASMAGORIC worships both the awkward and the mysterious.
